As a service member and an atheist, I somewhat know where this guy is coming from.
I myself am not a loud, "conflict atheist", where I have to tell everyone why they are wrong and that I am right. If you expect to be left alone to your beliefs, do the same for others.
Whenever everyone bows to pray at mandatory commanders calls or other types of official meetings, all I do is remain quiet and look straight ahead. It is always a interesting to see a couple others doing the same thing.
The general is obviously wrong, and I am not sure it warrants a Court Martial but he definitely should be punished in some way.
